Добро пожаловать
Victoria Courtaux (nee Plaksin) was born in the former USSR and spent her formative years absorbing the richness of Russian culture and the arts, including attending a classical art school. After moving to Australia as a teen and for the next 25 years years, she continued to refine her artistic skill under the mentorship of distinguished artists including Ruv Nemiro, Margarita Krivitsky and Tania Rivilis.
Victoria’s rich artistic vision, style and narrative have been further developed through her life studies in psychology and years lived in many continents and cultures – from 30+ years in Australia, many years in France, and in the UK, USA, Mexico and Middle East. In 2024, Victoria moved to Montenegro with her family, making the inspirational Boka Bay her base for further creative pursuits in art and photography. She is now the resident artist of Porto Montenegro, creating works in a variety of media – from paintings and drawings, to photography. She exhibits across Europe and Australia and her works are held in private art collections in France, Australia, USA and Montenegro.
A graduate of Art History from the prestigious Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria also offers a Private Art Curating service, supporting discerning collectors to start and build meaningful and personally resonant Art Collections.
